From 1957 the former company Manfred Leisenberg KG was well known for its extensive experience in the supply of burners and firing systems for the ceramic and aluminium industry. At the beginning of the 1990s, Prof. Dr. Leisenberg as a managing director of the company Leisenberg KG recognised an increasing demand for the integration of know-how about raw materials and thermal process technologies and process automation into turn-key packages suitable for the customers' demands. In addition to the key personnel of the Leisenberg KG, specialists from the Institute of Structural and Coarse Ceramics in Weimar could be enlisted to join a new company to develop the advanced technologies. Finally in 1991 the innovatherm company was founded between Prof. Dr. W. Leisenberg, who is shareholder and managing director, and the LINGL company. LINGL was founded already in 1938 and is specialised in the erection of complete factories in the ceramic and concrete Industry with a staff of more than 900 employees in Germany, the U.S.A., U.K., Italy and Brazil. As part of the LINGL group, innovatherm has specialised in modernisation and process optimisation of existing furnaces and drying plants in the ceramic industry, the aluminium industry and related process facilities. In 1999 innovatherm installed a quality management system which is approved according to DIN EN ISO 9001:1994 quality standards. innovatherm started in the year 2002 its international expansion with the salite company named innosat in Bhubaneshwar, India. A representative office in Beijing, China, followed in early 2003. In July 2008 the branch office innovatherm USA Inc. was founded in Missouri state. This office takes care of all customers in North America / Canada and ensures the after sales support incl. direct supply of spare parts.
